Scottie`s in Elkins

Fantastic place to eat. If you order a meal, plan on taking some home with you or have someone to share it with. Portions are huge for a very fair price.

My wife and I were in town for a weekend motorcycle trip with another couple. We wanted something different than the fast food chain and decided on Scottie's of Elkins for the first morning's breakfast. We were beyond satisfied with the atmosphere, friendly staff, quality, and quantity of food. We were taken back (positively surprised) by the amount of food they served for the price. The place stayed packed during our entire meal time. We were so satisfied with our experience that we didn't attempt to locate another place for our last morning in Elkins. We visited our second morning to leave town on full and satisfied bellies. Thank you to the staff for making the experience excellent!!!

We were told that Scottie's was the place to go for breakfast and we were told right. Great food and service.

Great place for home cooked meals. My wife had the lasagna and I had the hot turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy. Both meals were delicious and a good bargain. My kids also loved the kids meals. Clean plates all around. If you are in the area, give it a go. They also have outside and take out, so they are taking covid precautions.

Buckwheat cakes, slightly sour (on purpose!) and not to be confused with buckwheat pancakes, are a seasonal local specialty that is hard to find. Scottie's has them and they are perfect. Usual available about from mid October through March, ---or maybe a little later.

Waitress was 5*. Kitchen got order wrong but she fixed it. We got water to drink and it taisted like dish water. Food was good and plentiful. Probably go back again but this first time was not a 5* experience.

I got a hamburger and fries. For what I paid for it ($9) I was not impressed. Over cooked crinkle cut fries and a very generic hamburger. $5 I would have been happy.

They have good food, & good size servings prices not that bad.

Since we live right below them we eat there when ever we can me and my family love this place they always treats us with respect and back in 2015 when our son pass away the owner donated alot of food for after the funeral and also let me my wife and daughter to eat dinner that was in the house. No were else in Elkins will you find a place that cares so much about the customer if I could I give this place 10 stars I would.

They are the best in town. The food is really, really good. The staff couldn't be better. We eat there a lot and they treat us like family.

First time in the area and wanted to support a locally owned restaurant. Horrible. Wife had an omelet that looked nasty. I had a club and it too was bad. Fries were greasy. Meals delivered at different times to the table and took over 30 minutes. Will not be back.

In July of 2020 Things were not normal But the staff did a great Job!The food is delicious.

Great food! Friendly, welcoming staff. REAL food. The peanut butter pie was stellar!!! Nice options in all the daily specials. Not too pricey, especially considering the great quality of the meal. I'll definitely go back.

Typical diner food with friendly service. I was a little disappointed in my small BLT that was served on regular white bread. I should've tried one of the many specials on the board

Years ago in the 70s Scottie's was a hamburger place,and it was a great place back then. It's in a new location and the food is homemade and you get plenty to eat and the service was nice. I'd give the place a 10 !

Biscuits and gravy are off the charts!!! Missed it this time though. Turns out their Meatloaf dinner isn't to dang shabby either.

We were introduced to this restaurant by friends and we have never had a bad experience! The service is fast and friendly! The food is so good and you definitely get your money's worth in the serving size! Will definitely be back and recommend no questions asked!

The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is so friendly! Definitely a must stop if you're in the area. They serve wonderful breakfast all day long. The prices are great and you get a huge serving of food.

Kitchen got a little overwhelmed with orders, 3 tables from full plus to go orders. However food was made to order and very good. Waiter was very attentive and checked on us constantly. Would definitely eat here again.
